terms of service
Last updated: 17/11-2025

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing or commissioning any artwork. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Commissioned Artwork
Each piece created by Obscura Humanum is a one-of-a-kind, deeply personal artwork based on a therapeutic and artistic collaboration between the artist and the client. Once the creation process begins, the artwork is considered custom-made and non-refundable.
2. Ownership & Copyright
While the buyer owns the physical artwork, the artist retains all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to the right to exhibit, publish, and reproduce the artwork in print or digital form, but only the artwork - not the peronal and emotional inspiration behind it.
Buyers may not reproduce or commercially exploit the artwork without written permission.
3. Creative Control
All commissioned artworks are shaped through dialogue and emotional exploration. However, final creative decisions rest solely with the artist. Clients commission the artist for her vision, interpretation, and style. Minor adjustments may be discussed during the process, but requests to alter the final work will not be entertained.
4. Payment Terms
A full payment is required before the production phase begins. All prices are stated in DKK or in euros (€).
5. Delivery & Timeline

Global shipping is available.
-
Estimated delivery is within one week after completion. No more than four weeks.

7. No Returns or Exchanges
Due to the highly personal and custom nature of each artwork, no returns or exchanges can be accepted once the artwork is delivered. Please ensure you are emotionally and financially committed before commissioning a piece.
8. Privacy & Data Use
By submitting personal information during the commission process (including letters, videos, or emotional context), you consent to the use of this material solely for the creation of your artwork. Your information will be handled with strict confidentiality and deleted when shipped.
